- Any EA officer, bailiff, club officer, or other club member has the right to request to see a valid Membership card and/or EA license on production of membership authority.
- No bloodworm/joker to be used in any fashion.
- Groundbait to be used in limited quantity (Maximum 1kg)
- Nuts, peas, boilies, trout pellets are NOT permitted, and are not to be taken poolside.
- In the interest of other anglers, floating baits are NOT allowed to be loose fed. Floating baits can be used on the hook only.
- Barbless hooks only, Maximum size 10.
- All ledgering weights and feeders must be free running (no fixed rigs)
- All hook links should be 4 inches or more.
- NO braided line, OR HOOKLINKS
- NO fishing in restricted areas.
- Fishing from designated pegs only.
- NO walking from peg to peg holding fish.
- You must remove all lines from the water if leaving your peg.
- Do not use dry towels to hold fish.
- An unhooking mat is preferred if not unhooking fish in a landing net off the ground. No putting fish onto gravel/hard banks to unhook please.
- All keepnets to be emptied after 5 hours maximum. 50lb net limit. No fish over 4 lbs to be retained in keepnets, they must be returned to the water.
- Anglers fishing on Day Tickets must be fully conversant with the Club Rules as posted.
- NO keepnets to be used by Day Ticket holders.
- NO Day Tickets on the Pump House (Members only Pool)
- No one under the age of 16 is allowed to fish without adult supervision.
- Adults supervising children under 12 should have their own Day Ticket if not a Member.
- Children from 13 to 16 should have their own Day Ticket if not Members.
- Supervising Adults are limited to a maximum 2 children per Adult.
- Any angler, either as Members or on a Day Ticket, has a duty of care to advise others of any medical conditions that may affect your safety whilst fishing.
- Fishing is DAWN to DUSK ONLY. Night fishing is not allowed.
- NO FIRES allowed (authorised bank clearance/maintenance only)
- NO DOGS allowed on the banks
- DO NOT LEAVE LITTER, take it home with you.
- Membership runs from 1st January to 31st December each Year.
- The Red Lion Piscators Committee reserves the right to change these rules at any time.

On each match, the first 2 lowest peg numbers will assist with the weighing in
RED LION PISCATORS – MATCH RULES
- Environment Agency License must be held.
- All matches will be started and finished with a whistle.
- All anglers to lay their keepnets and landing nets behind their peg until 15 minutes before start of match.
- Separate keepnets required, one for silver fish and carp below 2lbs and one for carp over 2lbs. 50lbs net limit (anything over will be knocked back to 50lb)
- Only one rod and hook to be used at any one time.
- Competitors must not feed with a pole whilst fishing a rod.
- Competitors are permitted to plumb the depth or clip up a feeder rod before the start of the match, but no feeding of ground bait or loose feed before the whistle.
- All feeders and leads must be free running.
- No braided lines of any kind (including hook links)
- Barbless hooks only, maximum size 10.
- Minimum 4 inch hook length.
- No surface baits (minimum of 6ins below surface)
- No nuts, peas, boilies or trout pellets to be used.
- All fish over 8oz to be netted, not swung in.
- Your boundary is half way between you and the next angler.
- No fishing the pool over half way width (except on pegs 13 to 17 on Larches where full width is permitted if there is no angler opposite you)
- All fish to be played and netted within the boundary of your peg, i.e. one metre either side (any fish played or landed away from your peg will be disqualified)
- A competitor will be allowed 15 minutes after the final whistle to land a fish, but ‘fish on’ must be shouted when the whistle is sounded.
- PLEASE REMOVE ALL LITTER FROM YOUR PEG WHEN LEAVING.
- Match Secretary’s decision is final.
